PROVO, Utah (AP) -- Freshman Mallary Carling scored 18 points and Brigham Young upset No. 15 Wyoming 56-42 on Saturday to send the Cowgirls to a second consecutive loss.

Freshman guard Mindy Neilson added 13 points and Cassie King had 10, including eight to help steady the Cougars (11-8, 5-2 Mountain West) during a ragged first half for both teams.

Justyna Podziemska scored 19 points and Aubrey Vandiver had 10 points and 10 rebounds for Wyoming (18-3, 6-2), which shot a season-low 22 percent for the game and made just 4-of-27 3-point attempts.

The Cowgirls' school-record 12-game win streak ended Wednesday in a loss to Utah at the buzzer.

Carling made three 3-pointers and scored 11 points to fuel a 23-5 BYU run that broke up a 29-29 game. Neilson added six points during the spurt.

Wyoming's leading scorer this season, Hanna Zavecz, struggled throughout the game and left with more than five minutes remaining. She was just 1-for-12 from the field and finished with three points, all in the first half, and three rebounds.
