COLUMBUS, Ohio (www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com) - The 10th-ranked Ohio State women's hockey team defeated Bemidji State, 6-2, Friday at the OSU Ice Rink to extend its unbeaten streak to four games with a 3-0-1 mark in that span. Overall, the Buckeyes improve to 4-3-2 overall with a 3-2-2 record in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
Ten Buckeyes recorded a point in the game, led by seniors Erin Keys (2g, 1a) and Tessa Bonhomme (3a) with three points each. Also collecting multiple points were Jenna Kilpatrick and Mallory Peckels with a goal and assist and Hayley Klassen with two goals.

After falling behind 1-0 8:49 into the game, Kilpatrick scored her first career goal at 14:36 to knot the score at 1-all heading into the first intermission. The freshman forward from New Prague, Minn., fired the puck from the top of the left circle with Bonhomme and sophomore Michele Tonnessen picking up the assists.
At 1:53, Keys built the OSU lead to 3-1 when she fired in the puck from the slot after getting a pass from behind the net by rookie defenseman Teal Bishop and Kilpatrick. Peckels added another goal to the Buckeye lead at 8:50 when she tapped in the puck after charging toward the net with Keys. Bonhomme got the second assist on the goal, her third helper of the game.
The Beavers added a power play goal at 17:51 for a 6-2 final. Eva Schwaerzler scored from the left faceoff circle off passes from Erin Cody and Ashley Leopold.

Bonanno patrolled the OSU net for a little over two periods and made 12 saves with one goal allowed. Senior netminder Jill Mauch played the final 15:46 for her first minutes of the season and made nine saves with one goal allowed as well. Bonanno picked up the win to move to 4-3-2 this season.
In net for the Beavers, Emily Brookshaw stopped 24 shots with four goals allowed in the first two periods. Jennifer Bauer entered the game at the start of the third period and made 15 saves in the stanza.
